Dark Assassinby ? (Author, please e-mail me!)The ancient room had not been stirred in many years. But now, the darkness was penetrated by a bright light, as the a thin line appeared on the door, as sparks flew out of the light. Eventually it cut out a large square, and the door fell down onto the floor. As the smoke lifted, a man walked in, wearing a suit of black armour, that fully encased his body except for his head, which had a glass bubble surrounding it. The armour almost made him look like a giant egg, as the glass was tinted black. He held a tool, which had a small flame protuding from a small tube. Near his head where two small wholes in the armour, one which had a small red light from some electronical device, and the other contained a large spotlight that flooded the room with light. He moved around to his sides a little, surveying the area. He stepped further into the room, knowing that in full vacuum he was protected. The room was a mess, with papers and furniture floating everywhere. Over the man's commlink, he heard one of his team members whistle as he walked into the room. The life scanner implanted in his metallic shell detected his team, all behind him, and an unknown, behind a wall. He walked up to the wall, and knocked on it a few times. He whispered into his computer feed, "Computer, power up left fist." He felt his left hand start to vibrate, a tinging feeling going up and down his nerves. A small readout in the upper left hand corner of his glass HUD displayed that the fist was charged. He raised his left fist, and punched the wall, smashing a large whole through solid metal. He tore open the exposed metal, and stepped inside the hole he had created. On the other side, it was apparent that the wall was actually a door, but this didn't concern him. He gazed upon the large tube in front of him, and walked to the control panel next to it. He quietly said, "Computer, fists off." and waited for his fists to stop vibrating. Slinging his gun into it's holder, he typed in to the keyboard the status of the tube, which was a crygen freezer. The readout read, Subject has entire memory bank erased, and is in a GOOD state. Do you want to program the memory? The man hit the Yes button. The panel then told him to insert a disc, or start to program manually. He chose to insert a disc, and he reached into a small case he had on his side, and pulled out a silvery disc. He then inserted it into the terminal, and iniated the memory program. After a few seconds the transfer was complete. He then hit the Unfreeze button at the bottom, and the computer released a warning label, which he ignored. He turned to the tube and watched, as small openings in the floor appeared, and steam shot out of them. The large metal incasing surrounding the tube lifted up, revealing the plexiglass tubing underneath. A man was there, with a skull face, frozen in time. The man in armour watched as the ice melted into water, which evaporated, and the skull faced man looked at the armoured man. A voice from nowhere stated "The Assassin is now released." And the tube withdrew to the ceiling. The assassin, asked the man, "What is my bidding?" The man smiled beneath his glass shield, and stated, "Go out and seek your creators who abandoned you here. Go my Eversor Assassin, and destroy the Imperium, I will now teleport you and you gear to a small spaceship which you will carry to Terra. It has clearance to get there." With that he switched on his commlink, "Teleport the Assassin to the transport." He smiled, as he thought of the destruction, and wondered why the assassin was not as violent as he had believed, but then remembered, The New Terran Orders hackers had produced a very good program to drive the assassin. But the Man's work was done.
